Back-to-School Year Info

OCPS is committed to ensuring every student has a promising and successful future.

Student Computers

If your child is withdrawing to attend another OCPS school or another county/state, please set an appointment to return their device to LMS prior to the completion of the withdrawal process.

If your child's device needs to be repaired or replaced, please complete the process at your school site. Students can begin the process by following the steps in this document. Submitting a ticket at [email protected] will go to your child's school site.

Laptop Distribution 

6th grade students are welcome to pick up their laptops on either Thursday, 8/8 or Friday, 8/9 from 9am - 12pm in the media center. 
Rising 7th and 8th grade students that do not currently have device or charger fines from the 2024 school year will receive their laptops during the first week of school. - Mr. Jimenez

   Immunizations

The state of Florida requires that all students entering 7th grade must have the Tetanus-diphtheria-pertussis (Tdap) immunization. Your child MUST have this immunization in order to start the 7th grade. For more information, visit the Florida Department of Health in Orange County site.

School Supplies

Here is our supply list for the school year for you to have on hand as you complete your back-to-school shopping:  

  • Personal water bottle

  • College ruled paper

  • Three Prong Folders (7) or large 3 ring binder with 7 dividers

  • Composition notebook (2)

  • Post-it- Notes

  • Pencils

  • Hand held pencil sharpener with cover

  • Colored pencils

  • Pens (blue/black)

  • Hi-Lighters

  • Glue Stick

  • Pencil box to hold school supplies

The following are items that students should have available to them at home in their workspace; however, they do not need to be carried to school daily unless indicated by a particular class.

  • Index cards

  • Ruler

  • Scissors

  • Tape
