Welcome to Another Fantastic Week in Quarter 2!
Our momentum in the second quarter is in full swing as we celebrate the amazing talents, culture, and academic focus across our campus. Thank you for your continued support and engagement in making our school community so vibrant and successful.
Celebrating Our Students: Arts & Culture - Fall Fine Arts Performances: A round of applause for our talented Band, Orchestra, and Chorus students for their outstanding fall performances! Our young musicians demonstrated remarkable dedication, discipline, and artistry. Thank you to our performing arts directors, families, and supporters who filled the seats and cheered on our students.
- Hispanic Heritage Month Highlights: Our campus has thoroughly enjoyed honoring Hispanic Heritage Month! Students and staff engaged in meaningful activities, cultural lessons, morning announcements, and artistic displays celebrating the rich histories, traditions, and contributions of Hispanic and Latino communities.
Academic Momentum: Keeping the Drive Alive - Sustaining Focus in Quarter 2: As we dive deeper into the curriculum this quarter, our students are carrying strong momentum into their daily learning. Teachers are continuously tailoring lessons to challenge and support every learner based on recent assessment data.
- Encouraging Consistent Habits: Please help your student stay on track by discussing what they are learning each day, checking online grades weekly, and ensuring they arrive on time and prepared every morning.
Important Reminders - Neighboring Bank Parking: Please respect our community partners across the street during drop-off and pick-up. Do not park in handicap spaces or the spots directly in front of the bank entrance, as those must remain clear for customers.
- Safety & Supervision: Remember that campus supervision begins 30 minutes before school and ends 30 minutes after dismissal. Always use designated crosswalks and follow crossing guard directions.
- Proactive Support: Remind your student that if they "hear something, say something" to an adult on campus so our team can help address conflicts early.
Thank you for your ongoing commitment to our students, staff, and campus community. Let's make it another wonderful week!
Together we work, and together we grow.
Go Jets! |

Hello Jet Families, I wanted to make current students and families aware of an exciting opportunity for next school year. Students interested in the OCPS Magnet and Scholastic Academy Program (Personal Finance/Esports strand only) must apply during this year's application window, as enrollment is limited.
The OCPS Magnet and Scholastic Academy application officially opens on October 13 at 9:00 a.m. Students interested in joining the program are encouraged to apply as soon as the application becomes available.
Please note that the application window is only open for a short period of time (approximately one week). Families are encouraged to submit applications promptly to ensure their student is considered.
Current students who have already been approved and accepted into the program do not need to reapply. Your current approval will remain valid and will be honored for next school year.
Please be advised that the goal of the Scholastic Academy is to maintain enrollment with 100% approved students who have demonstrated an interest in and commitment to the program's focus areas. As a result, available seats are limited, and priority will be given to students who complete the application process and meet program requirements.
The Personal Finance and Esports Scholastic Academy Program provides students with opportunities to develop financial literacy, career readiness, teamwork, leadership, critical thinking, and technology skills through engaging, real-world learning experiences. If you have any questions regarding the application process or the program, please feel free to contact me.
Thank you for your continued support.
Sincerely, Ms. Fray Legacy Middle School Personal Finance & Esports Scholastic Academy |
