Welcome to Week 9 of the school year! Our momentum continues to build as we work together to support, inspire, and elevate every student on our campus. Thank you for your continued partnership and dedication to making this year exceptional.
Looking Back: Celebrating Community & Connection - PTSA Ice Cream Event Recap: A huge thank you to our incredible PTSA for putting on such a fantastic ice cream event for our students this past Friday night! It was wonderful to see so many smiling faces and sweet treats bringing our school community together. We deeply appreciate the hard work, planning, and volunteer hours that went into making the evening such a memorable success.
Academic Focus: Preparing for Report Cards - Upcoming Report Cards & Outstanding Work: Report cards will be coming out soon, making this a crucial time to review academic progress:
- Check Current Grades: Please take time to log into the portal with your student to review their current standing.
- Resolve Outstanding Items: If your student has any missing assignments, tests to make up, or outstanding projects, please work with them to get those completed as soon as possible.
- Partner with Teachers: Reach out directly to your child's teachers if you have questions or need guidance on how to best support your student before grades are finalized.
Campus Culture & Discipline: Conflict Resolution & Academic Focus - Strengthening Campus Climate Together: To keep our school moving in the right direction, maintain a disciplined environment, and keep the primary focus on education, we ask for your partnership at home:
- Discuss Conflict Resolution: Please take time to talk with your student about healthy ways to resolve peer disagreements, practice patience, and use peaceful communication.
- Utilize Campus Supports: Remind your student that our teachers, guidance counselors, and administrators are always here to mediate and support them whenever challenges arise.
- Protect the Learning Environment: When conflicts are handled constructively, our classrooms remain focused, positive spaces where all students can thrive academically.
Reminders & Daily Operations - Supervision Windows: As a reminder, campus supervision is available 30 minutes before school begins and 30 minutes after dismissal. Please ensure drop-offs and pick-ups occur within these times.
- Crosswalk Safety: Always use designated crosswalk areas when arriving on or leaving campus, and follow all crossing guard directions.
Thank you for your ongoing commitment to our students and school family. Let's make it another fantastic week!
Together we work, and together we grow.

Dear Legacy Families, Our students will be participating in Progress Monitoring Assessments (PMAs) on September 28-30 in the following courses:

Our students are currently selling Domino's Slice the Price Cards and practicing and creating their own elevator pitches/ commercials in class. This activity supports the theater standard TH.68.H.2.1: Apply transferable theatre skills (public speaking, active listening, and collaboration) to non-theatre contexts. Through this experience, students are building confidence, professionalism, and real-world communication skills while raising funds for future theater projects. Monday, Oct. 5 is the last day to purchase!
Links to the videos are below. Please enjoy!
Why the Domino's Slice the Price Card is a Great Deal - Cards are $20 each
- $10 from every card sold goes directly to our theater program
- Buy one large pizza and receive a second large pizza FREE with the card
- Unlimited use through June 30, 2027
- Valid at participating Domino's locations nationwide
If your family enjoys pizza even a few times a year, the card can quickly pay for itself while supporting our students at the same time. We're hoping to raise enough money to purchase a class set of sewing machines for our puppetry and costume projects, giving students even more hands-on opportunities to create and learn.
If you'd like to support our students, or know someone who loves pizza, please consider sharing our fundraiser:
Thank you for supporting our young performers! Ms. Nieves
