Dear Legacy Families,
Welcome to the 2025–2026 school year! This year marks a special milestone—Legacy Middle School’s 20th anniversary. For two decades, we’ve proudly served our community, shaping young minds and building a tradition of excellence.
Last year, our school earned a solid 'B' grade, a testament to the hard work of our students, staff, and families. With renewed energy and your continued support, we are poised to reach even greater heights and earn an 'A' this year. Together, we will make this anniversary year one to remember—filled with growth, achievement, and celebration. Here’s to a legacy of learning and a future of success!
Warm regards,
Jason Jiménez

Twenty years ago, I had the privilege of opening the doors to a dream— a school founded on the belief that education can transform lives and communities; a school that our community can truly be proud of. As we celebrate its 20th anniversary this year, I feel immense pride and gratitude for what Legacy Middle School has become. Although I am no longer the principal, my heart remains forever connected to its mission and spirit.
I have witnessed new leaders, dedicated educators, supportive parents, and generations of students carry the torch forward, each contributing their own chapter to the story that began two decades ago.
To everyone who has walked the halls, taught in the classrooms, led with vision, and supported its growth: thank you. You have transformed this school into not just a place of learning, but a living legacy.
Here’s to the next 20 years of excellence, innovation, and boundless opportunities for students.

Legacy Middle School opened Fall of 2005 and back then our neighbors next door were trees and forest. Under the leadership of Mr. Trimble the first day of school and days thereafter went very smoothly and it was very rewarding being a 26 year old ESE teacher. That school year we earned an A grade from the state and we maintained that for many years.
Fast forward, I was switched to regular education math, and then I became a gifted teacher. Every year I have taught at Legacy has been an absolute honor, and I’m very proud of starting my 21st teaching year this year. Under the leadership of Mr. Jimenez he has established a culture of success for both staff and students. Our focus has expanded into financial literacy, technology driven teaching, and software programs to enhance all aspects of learning and efficient procedures.
We are extremely proud of our B school grade, and I am excited to be delivering instruction to our next generation of Legacy students!

My name is Charity Wilson and I am thrilled to join Legacy Middle School as the new 6th English Language Arts teacher. I, myself, am a product of Orange County Public Schools and spent the past 22 years sharing my love of reading and writing with OCPS students.
I’m have a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from UCF, both focused on ELA Education. When I’m not teaching, I’m taking care of my cat children, writing, and creating pottery in the ceramics studio.

Reminder, families, Florida experiences thunderstorms most afternoons in the summer and Fall! These storms may impact our dismissals.
We follow the national '30/30' delayed dismissal procedure.
Should there be a need to delay our dismissals, we'll communicate this via Parent Square. Please do not converge on the front office prior to our announcements. This allows for our students to maximize their learning, and reduces potential safety issues, such as parents standing near our 30' metal flag pole when lightning is in the area. Thank you.
